One of my senior ladies came to our group with some beautiful yarn she had bought and wanted a pattern for a hat. Specifically, she wanted something like a beret, so I suggested this pattern for her. She had been an Intermediate crocheter many years ago but was not very confident of her current skill level. I started her off on this pattern, and the next week, she brought the finished hat and more yarn. This time, she wanted a scarf, too!

Love how this hat turned out! Thinking about making a few more in different colors, I did a solid black one to go with my leather jacket for the colder months, but I want warmer colors for the summer!
