This one is a little different. Not only do I like the two tone feature, the little "dip" really is adorable. I see that the hat is made with bulky cotton yarn and I can only hope that using it will help keep the hat from feeling hot.

Adorable! This hat for some reason reminds me of Dr Suess. I love the shape of it and the color is not half bad either. I have never liked to wear hats ever but I am learning the benefits from wearing them when out beach cruising. This is a pattern to move to the front of the line.

This is a great accessory piece for the spring. Can you imagine donning this while at the farmer's market? I bet you would get tons of compliments on it, and maybe you'll even agree to make a few for those kind strangers. That is just the kind of thing that I like to do. It's a nice way to make a few extra bucks here and there. I am excited to read her recommendation on the Bernat Maker yarns as I have always wanted to try that one for myself. The colors are perfect, too!

I have to admit that as much as I enjoy making hats, Ill be very glad to turn my hooks away from the bulky winter ones in favor of the light and lacy summer ones! This interesting take on a fedora is sturdy enough to protect from the sun but not so hot that you want to take it off. The pattern is available for free download, too.

Very cute and very unusual / different summer hat. Amazing Grace is a great cause. I think breast cancer has effected just about everyone at some point in their life, whether it be them, a family member, or a friend or acquaintance. I could see this hat being worked in pink and worn on a breast cancer memorial walk.
