Husband Hat
Work up this masculine Husband Hat to finish out your family's winter needs. As long as you measure the crown of the head and the length, you can make this crochet hat whatever size you need it to be. Make one for all the male members of your family to keep warm this winter, or change up the color of yarn to make it fit yourself better. Add a flower applique or stripes into the crochet hat pattern and you have yourself a whole family of winter accessories.

Took this pattern and am adding bobbles to it. Dad said it's beginning to look like an artichoke but aside from that it's looking good!

For those of you who want to print pattern and or picture alone, just highlight by holding right click on mouse and drag it from bottom up to the top of item and let go of right click. Then left click to print and on print preview it should have a request for print page or print selected items. click on the selected item circle so black dot is in circle to select it. and print. I'm rusty, but managed just fine. Pattern was fine to read and I kicked this hat out in an hour. Going to make another for the daughter's bf.....he's not getting this one!

Jholmes, you should be able to right click on your mouse and it will bring up a list ,,click on where it says "Print review" , from there you should be able to see each page and only print the ones you want. I don't want to have to print all of the comments either , I just want to print the pattern.

highlight only those pages you want to print and when ready to print right click and click on selected items. then print.

I would say this about the pattern. I've started this hat & it's turning out like a beret. So, I'm going to take out some rounds. Go back & try again, until I get it right !!! I want this hat to look like the picture.

I liked this pattern. My husband is undergoing chemotherapy and, of course, is losing his hair. When I showed the photo to him, he said "go for it". I used Deborah Norville Serenity Chunky Weight "5" Stormy and the H hook. Was a little difficult at first since I'm not as familiar with the bulkier yarns but it got easier. The pattern was soooooo easy to follow. 1st attempt was too big so I ripped it out, consciously tightening up. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern.

First thank you Widney Woman for posting your pattern It is so cool when people do that I intend to use it to crochet a hat for my guy Can you update it a little to make it easier to use I think there is some sort of mistake with the yarn and crochet hook description You have listed that you used Lion Brand-bulky I suspect you actually used a medium worsted weight yarn not a bulky so novices trying to use a bulky yarn and the H crochet hook are going to have some problems I don't think Lion Brand officially calls any of their yarns bulky as the yarn name It is always helpful to have the exact yarn name that someone used because it stops a lot of miscommunication about what weight or thickness of yarn it really was The pattern that you adapted your pattern from did…Read More not call for a bulky yarn It called for a worsted weight yarn and a J hook You said say the gauge is stitches inches If you are giving a crochet gauge then that would match a worsted weight yarn not a bulky yarn That would also make a lot more sense since you suggest a size H crochet hook which would be slightly small but ok for a worsted weight yarn but would be far too small for a bulky yarn So in sum are you sure that you really used a bulky yarn for your project A size H hook would create overly tight crochet stitches and buckling in the work I would think unless you crochet extremely loosely Thanks for any help you can give I really do want to make your pattern I am just really confused about what yarn to buy
