I love these kinds of patterns! I have made pieces for a bean bag toss game, little crocheted, rice-filled balls for the kids, and hot-and-cold packs, using this same idea. I never thought of a baby rattle, though! Awesome idea and very easy to make, as well as fun to play with the variations!
