Do you have a short amount of time to make a bunch of items to give away? If so, this would be a great pattern to make. It looks so simple, and like you could make a bunch in just a few hours. You could make so many, in different colors, and have them all over your tree.

Be advisedthese festive decorations work up a lot larger than you might expect. They are wonderful as single ornaments, or linked together on a chain to form a garland. They work up so quickly that you can fill a tree in no time. I especially appreciated the suggestion about the Lion Brand gold leaf yarn. I havent seen it around here, but will order online if necessary.
