Quick Little Bag

search

"This Quick Little Bag is just that, and it came about due to a lack of pockets! I was at a trade show and realized most of my outfits for the long weekend had no pockets. I had a big shoulder bag, but my phone and business cards kept getting lost in it. So I grabbed some Red Heart Unforgettable and a crochet hook and whipped up this bag. Problem solved! I made a new sample for the pattern that is a little thinner, longer, and has a flap. Enjoy."

I love unforgettable yarn. It self shades and you will never have two exactly the same. The stitches used will determine the color pattern. I have used most of the different shades. This is an easy pattern to follow. It will make up very quickly. I prefer to line all of my purses.

Wow! This Quick Little Bag is soooo cute and totally practical! I love the ombre color pattern of the yarn. Since this bag is so small I can see using it for makeup or essentials inside another large bag. But then again you have the option of taking it out and carrying it on its own! I love how the straps are attached all the way down the sides of the bag making it much sturdier. I think I see several of these in my future to keep on hand as gifts!

Now that I have a few of these projects behind me, Im seeing these popular little bags everywhere! As the designer says Necessity is the Mother of Invention, and she came up with this idea because her small items (keys, wallet) kept getting lost in her big bag. I can completely relate! I love how the side seams and strap are worked together. No worries about attachments coming loose with this one.

This quick little bag is an essential for quick trips and when you just need some items with you like while walking on the boardwalk holding hands with the one you love. You don't want to be bogged down with a large handbag but you need that phone and a few dollar bills. I like the color selected to crochet this bag

I am like you I have this HUGE purse (the devils invention, in convinced!) and there are times I just want to carry my phone and keys around. This size would be perfect when touring because you could keep in front of your body but still have everything you need!

Nessecity is truly the mother of all inventions. I like this design and like you did, sometimes I just need a little something to hold a few items while out and about. Fun thing about this, I can coordinate outfits with this cute pattern. Thank you for sharing.

This is really cute, and is a very quick little bag to make. I like the staggered look that the alternating stitches gives it. It is a nice change from typical single or half double crochet used for many patterns like this one. I also like that there is a slip stitch edge around the bag, and that the strap is made with slip stitches. It keeps it from stretching out of shape.

Such a cute little bag that I could not resist making one today. Then our teenage daughter saw it and it immediately became hers so I have started another one for myself , lol! I love the colors shown in the pattern but I have not seen Red Heart Unforgettable yarn here in South Africa so I used a locally made bamboo yarn instead. It came out nice but I think I am going to try to get some Red Heart yarn online.

Of course I love the Red Heart Unforgettable yarn, the colors are so vibrant. I have this yarn in Stained Glass color which would look so pretty in this pattern. I like making projects that people can use on a regular basis. This bag would be perfect for traveling and you want the essentials with you. I believe this will go on my project to do list for the near future. And again, thank you for posting this awesome pattern.

I love this idea. Its almost like you read my mind Jessie. You knew exactly what I have been needing. My purse is huge, in the fact that I carry so much in it just in case I might need something. Just making a quick stop into a store was a chore lugging my heavy purse. Will definitely make one of these.

I made this and it was fun and easy. I use it as a 'portable pocket' when i have no pockets and want to carry my phone.

First thing that came into my mind was women jogger and runners who may want to use a small bag to wrap it around their neck and place money, keys and cellphone and ATM card inside while jogging. Sound practical? Then here's the link to the pattern http//jessieathome.com/quick-little-bag/.

I love this pattern. Not only can you make it as shown to carry small items or essentials, but you can also make it for a little girl to use. Sometimes when I make a purse for myself and I have some yArn left over, I make a smaller version for my grand daughter. She is thrilled to have a matching grandma purse!
