What a darling little scrapbuster! I have loved owls since I was a little girl, and was delighted to find out that my soon to be four year old granddaughter is equally passionate about them, too. I have plenty of time to work one of these up for her (in shades of pink an purple, of course) and tuck a few dollars inside. Every girl should have her own money!

Oh my this Precious Owl Pouch is a hoot! I love it and will be making a few of them and want to add a snap to keep it closed. I had to read all the comments on the pattern page to find out that it is 4 inches across and about the size of a small apple. I want mine to be smaller, so I'll use a smaller crochet hook. These done in thread would make a great key chain for some coins put in just for parking. So looking forward to making this cute little owl pouch. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

You have come up with some really clever ways to use this pattern. The small size is fine for me because I want to use it for a small girl, but you could also add a crocheted strap for a little purse.

Please give some indication of size of a project. I don't have time to make a sample one to see if it is worth making. I have a small gift I'd like to tuck inside an owl, but other than saying that it is bigger than a pair of earrings, I don't know how big an owl to make.
