Stashbuster Ear Warmer
When you're using less than 100 yards of yarn, this Stashbuster Ear Warmer is a great project to have under your belt. This tutorial comes with not only a free crochet ear warmer pattern, but also with ways to put in multiple colors and change the sizing. There is no better way to keep your ears warm outside in the bitter winter cold, or inside on a chilly day with a cup of coffee in hand. They are good for the whole family to wear around the house or out and about!

My ears can get so cold here in Maine, even in early fall. This is a great little warmer that can easily be tucked into a bag or pocket. I like this idea. The pattern is easy and I can make one or my little granddaughter plus one for myself just with the stash I have. I think my grown son would wear one in a solid color too.

I wear headbands all the time as I cant stand my hair in my face. Among my ever growing collection, Ive found that the narrower ones tend to pop off. So Ive been looking for wider bands, and this one ticks all the boxes for me. The variety of stitches adds to the distinctive texture of the band. Although this is described as a stashbuster, I used one color of yarn and was very pleased with the results.

A great free pattern for using up your stash of leftove yarn, the pattern is easy to follow and there are links to tutorials for special stitches such as the shallow post stitch which I had not done before. There I see also a link to do a matching pair of hand warmers so these would make a great gift set for tweens and teens as the pattern is more grown up and makes a change from a hat.
