African Flower Headband
Crochet headbands are a great and popular alternative to crochet hats and beanies, and with the African Flower Headband it's easy to see why. This free crochet pattern is a breathe of fresh, spring air. Instead of having the pattern produce a straight lined band, this crochet flower pattern shows you how to crochet a thick wavy-lined headband. Spaced throughout the headband are simple and vibrant African flowers that add a springtime and feminine air to this winter essential.

This project is going to be a bit challenging if you dont have at least a modicum of crochet experience. You start with a linked tutorial for a specific African Flower. Be sure to ONLY use this flower as the rest of the headband depends on the stitch count. From that point, there are only written instructions and no photos. Youll have to use your imagination and work along, but dont be surprised if you need to pull out some stitches and start again.

Awesome! The button closure is very stylish, but do you have instructions on how to adapt this pattern with an elastic closure or to make the headband into a stretchy? It would be easier for my kids to put on and off if they didnt have to maneuver a button with their little fingers.
