This is one of the more minimalist mug cozy designs Ive seen. For some crazy reason, it reminds me of something you might find in IKEA. The wooden button adds the finishing touch. It would be easy to adapt this pattern, too. I think making this up in a sand and sky blue colors would lead to a beach theme by swapping out the button for something nautical. So many ideas for this pattern!
