Weekend Wonder Baby Blanket
Some afghans can take months to complete, but not this one! All you need is a few days to work up the Weekend Wonder Baby Blanket. Simply gather your favorite six colors of worsted weight yarn and crochet this easy baby blanket for your own little bundle of joy, or give it as a gift to an expectant mother. This color blocked baby blanket is a classic design that will look great in any baby nursery. With the N sized hook, the project will end up being a little airy, so this would be great as an additional blanket on top of something warmer, for some added pops of color.

The way that this weekend wonder baby blanket turned out no one would be the wiser to know that it took so little time to complete. The beautiful colors just flow and looked so well planned out. Thanks for sharing the project.

This just in I did not know that the 100% cotton yarns "shed" in the wash! I have always been concerned about the colors bleeding, especially when I am mixing together both light and dark shades in one project. But never considered the lint it would create. Good heads up! Pretty and simple blanket (simple in design and stitch) but SO, so beautiful.

I liked this pattern so much that I am giving it another look and have decided to give it a go. So I set out to buy yarn and the crochet hook as I have a coworker that is pregnant. I found the cotton yarn at a local yarn shop in shades of lavender, white, pale green, pink, yellow and blue. I am crocheting it up in that color order. This blanket is by far the prettiest think I have done.

Oh how I wish I had seen this a year ago. Our youngest was one who required swaddling and this is just beautiful. We swaddled her in receiving blankets, but this would have just been so much more beautiful, and it looks very sung and cozy. I may try to make this for friends having babies. Such an adorable pattern!

I love this pattern. It was very easy, worked up quickly and turned out beautiful. I used scrap yarn of similar colors shown in the photo. Thank you!
