This is definitely an unusual pattern. I made a somewhat patchwork afghan for my son awhile ago, but it was nothing like this. I made a bunch of different size squares and put them together, filling in any holes as I went along. It turned out really great, and my son was definitely pleased with it.

This is an unusual take on patchwork. While the variegated yarn gives all the color changes, the individual blocks are quite unique. Because each mitered square is built on the next, theoretically you could work each in a separate color, but boy, that would be a ton of trouble. I might just do as the designer suggests and work it all in a single color to show off the texture instead.

No seaming? No Individual squares? Really? But it seems that the blanket looks very laborious to make. But actually it's not. Ohhh. So challenging to make. Well, nothing is too difficult for avid crocheters. Just wait....

Never imagined a patchwork baby blanket. But here, it looks so cozy bulky, perfect for the cold weather. Here is the link to the pattern http//crochetkim.com/freepatterns/patchwork-baby-b == lanket/.I've pinned this blanket
