Purple Serenity Shawl

search

This Purple Serenity Shawl is super easy to work up and creates a perfect triangular pattern. Use only one and a half skeins of yarn in a v-stitch pattern, and your crochet shawl is ready to wear. The design is perfect for spring and fall because it's a warm accessory but it won't let you overheat in the nice in-between months. Work up this crochet shawl pattern in the pretty purple color shown or use your own- it works well no matter what you decide to do!

I do like the ease of a repeating pattern like this one, for those times when you are just sitting on the couch watching your tv. You can almost do this without even looking. I'd like a border trim around it in a contrasting color, or in a deeper shade of purple to make it pop. It is also great as is, but you must have the fringe. It's what adds the personality and flair. One of my favorite yarns, too!

Texture, texture, texture! I can't get enough texture and this shawl has plenty of it! I love that it's labeled and "easy" pattern and it looks like I'll get to learn and practice a new stitch...the V stitch and practice decreasing. So many benefits to this little pattern. I think I'll make it from the soft gray heather so it'll go with most everything I own. It's so simple I might make another one to go with my little black dress from purple!

I love the color purple because it is the color for pancreatic cancer and that's what my mom passed away from.

So pretty. I am not a fan of the color purple but it does look very good in your serenity shawl. I will definitely be making one of these for myself, but I will be making it in my favorite color of pink. I like the added touch of the fringe at the bottom to give it a little boho jazz.

I love this Purple Serenity Shawl! After reading the written pattern and the comments, I'll be making this one using the treble stitch to make it longer then 18 inches. The pattern is well written and easy to understand, so it should come out great! I love the color and can't wait to wear this beautiful shawl. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

Such a pretty shawl. I am definitely going to feel serene when wearing it. Elegant too. The colour is really pretty and I love that it is fairly lightweight and so will be great to wear in both spring and fall. I have not seen Simply Soft yarn here in South Africa so, if it is not available online, I may have to figure out a suitable substitute.
