Sweet Summer Ruana

"The Sweet Summer Ruana is a great garment to use to make a cute summer dress even cuter or to spice up your bathing suit when used as a cover up. Designed with a lovely granny square motif that is joined as you work each square, it creates a gorgeous lace ruana that is just stunning! The pattern has directions to make 3 sizes of ruana that are suitable for sizes small to 3XL. (bust measurements 32” to 55” The sample is made with Paintbox yarns Cotton DK, which is a weight 3 DK cotton yarn. Some suitable substitutes are Lion Brand Coboo or Comfy Cotton, Knit Picks Cotlin, and Novita Cotton Soft. Any weight 3 yarn would work for this project, but I think cotton is preferable to acrylic or wool since it is a summer item."
