Broomstick Lace Crochet Top
The Broomstick Lace Crochet Top is a wonderful summertime top - it works over a simple tank top, or it can be used as a swimsuit coverup. Though the pattern itself is an easy pattern repeat, this pattern's difficulty is ranked a little higher due to the broomstick lace technique. For those unfamiliar with this technique, it's about using something much thicker than your crochet hook (a broomstick handle or, in this instance, larger knitting needles) to create the larger spaces to crochet into. It's not a difficult technique, but it can take some getting used to.
In the designer's own words, "this lovely broomstick lace top works up with worsted weight yarn and a size H crochet hook. Pictures will help guide you as you crochet. Using two Size 35 knitting needles, you will create two pieces which are seamed together to make the top. This lovely, trendy top is perfect for warmer weather!"
