The open lace design lends itself to many different yarns and makes it the perfect piece to accessorize tops, dresses, coats and more. I have worked it in a DK yarn, but truly you could make it in almost any type of yarn as long as you use the appropriate hook for your weight. The way the pattern is designed it is easy to stop along the way for a shorter version or continue it for a bigger version.
