Ribbing With MC, ch 14 (14-20-20). 1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 13 (13-19-19) sc. 2nd row: Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn. Rep last row until work from beg measures 15 (17-19-21) [38 (43-48.5-53.5) cm], when slightly stretched. Do not fasten off. Join last row and 1st row tog with 1 row of sc to form tube. Beg working in rnds: 1st rnd: Ch 1. Working along side edge of ribbing, work 48 (56-64-72) sc evenly around. Join with sl st to first sc. 2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. Rep last rnd until work from beg of rnds measures 7 (7-8-8) [18 (19-20.5-22) cm]. Shape top: 1st rnd: Ch 1. *1 sc in each of next 4 (5-6-7) sc. Sc2tog. Rep from * 7 times more. Join with sl st to first sc. 40 (48-56-64) sts. 2nd rnd: Ch 1. *1 sc in each of next 3 (4-5-6) sc. Finishing
Pom-pom: Wind yarn around 4 fingers approx 80 times. Remove from fingers and tie tightly in center. Cut through each side of loops. Trim to a smooth round shape. Attach to top of Hat.
