"Every year I make another crochet hat for the hubby because he literally "wears them out". This year he asked if I could make sure the hat was super warm. Well he works outside so much, that I definitely wanted to comply. I pulled out some yarn and started playing around with the stitching, and I think you will love it. The hat really has a "double-layer" to the hat and nope....you don't use two strands of yarn. Once you set the technique, you'll fall in love.
