Tyebsize can be changed with an increase or decrease of 7 stitches for 2 inches, as long as gauge is met. An advanced beginner can make this as long as one is familiar with foundation single crochet, double crochet, chain, and slip stitch. You can easily make your hat taller by repeating rows.
