Baby Pumpkin Hat

Crochet HookG/6 or 4 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Instructions:
Main hat section:
Foundation: With orange, ch 23, hdc in third ch from hook and in each ch across (21 hdc total)
Row 1: Ch 2, turn, blhdc in each hdc across
Rows 2-26: Rep row 1.
Finishing: With RS facing fold piece in half, sl st up short side. Turn inside out.
Top of hat and stem:
Top of pumpkin: With green, join to orange tube, and sc evenly around orange tube, do not join. Sc2tog around until only four stitches remain. Create “stem” by sc in each st around until stem measures 1¼ inches. Finish off and weave in ends.
