All That Glitters Crochet Cowl
In the dead of winter all you want to do is curl up in a ball and hibernate until the spring season arrives. Turn that frown upside down and let us introduce you to the All That Glitters Crochet Cowl. This is a sparkling crochet design that will make you want to leave the house. Gold Leaf yarn is used in a white color with magical gold specs. This is an easy crochet pattern to work up, but you must know how to do the front post double crochet stitch and back post double crochet stitch. We promise it'll be well worth it and it'll lift your winter spirit.
Crochet HookP/16 or 11.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(6) Super Bulky/Super Chunky (4-11 stitches for 4 inches)
Materials:
- 231-100 Gold Leaf: White/Gold 3 balls
- Lion Brand Crochet Hook - Size P-15 (10 mm)
- Lion Brand Large-Eye Blunt Needles (Set of 6)
GAUGE:
8 sts + 5 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern.
When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:
FPDC (front post double crochet): Yo, insert hook from front to back then to front, going around the dc post, draw up a loop, (yo and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice. Skip st behind the FPDC.
