"It seems that crochet tote bags are every where these days! Are you looking for one to show off a little Canadian Pride while out and about this summer? Look no further! It is simple, worked primarily in single crochet stitches, and uses a little bit of colour work in order to create a maple leaf on the front. A colour chart is provided to help show you where the colour changes are in the pattern."

Ch 1 at beg of rnd does not count as sc.
Weave in ends as needed.
When alternate color is not in use, carry nonworking color behind and work over
unless otherwise stated.
To switch colors, use color for next stitch in the last step of current stitch (i.e. when
completing a sc, instead of yarning over with your BC to pull through last 2 loops on
hook, drop your MC yarn and pick up your CC, yarn over with CC and pull through
last two loops on hook. Before beginning your next stitch in your CC make sure to
bring your MC yarn to the backside of your work.
