Easy Grumpy Hamster

"This small, grump hamster is my literal spirit animal. He is so smol and easy to make, which means there's a ton of them littered around my house. My best friend LOVES hamsters, which was the inspiration for this project. I made her one for Christmas and thought "what the heck" and wrote it up as a pattern. I usually use chenille yarn for this project, but you really can use whatever kind you want, as long as you have a hook to match (it usually says what the suggested hook size is on the label on the yarn). Row 2 - Sc 2 in each stitch around (12)
Row 3 - Sc in next stitch and then sc 2 in stitch after. Repeat around (18)
Row 4 - Dtr in next stitch, sc in stitch after that, and 2 sc in the stitch after that. Sc for 2 stitches and then 2 sc in next stitch. Sc for 2 more stitches, sc in next stitch and dtr in the same stitch. Sc for 2 more stitches and sc 2 times in the next stitch. Repeat 2 more times (lots of 2’s!). You just made the ears, so make sure they poke out the right direction! (24)
Row 5 - Sc all the way around (24)
Row 6 - Sc for 3 stitches and bobble stitch BUT only do 2 dc. Sc for 5 more stitches and do the 2 dc bobble stitch again. Sc the rest of the row. You just made his arms! (24)
Row 7-8 - Sc all the way around (24)
Row 9 - Sc for 4 stitches (because the row slowly moves back as you crochet. Just try to align the next stitch with the arms, since you’ll be making the legs this next one) 2 dc bobble stitch in the next stitch. Sc for 5 stitches and then do a 2 dc bobble stitch in the next stitch. Sc the rest of the row. (24)
Row 10 - This is the part where I stop keeping track because I just dec every stitch until I can fasten it off when it’s closed, stuffing it when the hole is just big enough to stuff
Add a face to it and you’re done!
