Earth Toned Crochet Afghan
With this free crochet afghan pattern you can make an Earth Toned Crochet Afghan. Using neutral colors that can easily match your home decor is a great way to add a little design to any room. The half double crochet stitch was used in panels making this a quick afghan to work up.
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Tip: Each panel is crocheted using a full skein of yarn. If you're making an afghan with 9 panels, you need 9 skeins of yarn. If you're making a larger afghan with 11 panels you'll need 11 skeins of yarn and so on.
Materials:
- 9 skeins Worsted weight yarn (approx. 170 yards each)
- Vanna's Choice in Dusty Blue, Beige, Taupe (or choice of color)
- H hook
- Darning Needle
Instructions:
Chain 13 and turn.
Row 1: HDC into second stitch from hook then into each stitch across row, chain 1 and turn (12 sts).
Row 2: Repeat row 1 until the skein runs out to create your first panel. Continue to do the same with all your panels.
Finishing:
Join panels using whip stitch or any stitch you wish. Every stitch to join will create a different look for your afghan, so it's just a matter of what look you're going for.
Weave in ends.
