Cloud Baby Booties

Materials:
- Yarn: RED HEART® “Baby Clouds™”: 1 ball 9975 Seashore Multi.
- Crochet Hook: 8mm [US L-11].
- Yarn needle.
Gauge: 9 sts = 4” in sc. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the specified gauge.
Size: Boots should fit most babies 6-12 months. Foot Length: 4”.
ABBREVIATIONS: ch = chain; hdc = half double crochet; mm = millimeters; sc = single crochet; st(s) = stitch(es); [ ] = work directions in brackets the number of times specified.
Special Abbreviations:
hdc2tog (hdc dec): [Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop] twice, yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.
Instructions:
BOOT (make 2): Ch 8.
Round 1: Work 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 4 ch, 6 dc in last ch, turn to work along opposite side of beginning ch, dc in next 4 ch, 3 dc in last ch, slip st in top of beginning ch to join.
Round 2: Ch 1, sc in back loops only in each st around, slip st in beginning ch to join.
