Crochet Bright by Kristin Spurkland is a wonderful crochet pattern book that includes 14 stylish crochet designs. You'll find a nice variety of crochet patterns to work up including crochet scarves, hats, baby booties, jewelery, and more. Each pattern is worked up using a brightly-colored yarn, but you can always substitute the suggested yarn for something else if you have another "look" in mind for a certain project.

This 32-page crochet pattern book includes large color photographs of each project, along with detailed instructions. You'll also find a helpful page at the back of the book with common crochet abbreviations, a metric conversion chart, and a standard yarn-weight system chart. Patterns include the Geometric Bags (pg. 7), the Ruffle-Edge Hat (pg. 15), Preemie Hats (pg. 17), and the Pretty Pink Hat and Scarf (pg. 25), just to name a few.

I am always looking for new patterns and am especially interested in the ruffled hat shown in the Crochet Bright book. I like bright and cheerful and it looks fun and easy.
