Pumpkin Spice Cowl
This Pumpkin Spice Cowl is made of beautiful Bernat Satin. This is a great cowl to wear in between seasons; great for the fall and the spring! Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Measurements:
Approx 13" [33 cm] deep x 44" [112 cm] around bottom edge.
Materials:
- Bernat® Satin (100 g/3.5 oz; 182 m/200 yds)
- Size 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge:
13 sc and 14 rows = 4" [10 cm].

Ch 150. Join in ring with sl st into first ch, taking care not to twist ch.

5th rnd: Sl st in first ch-1 sp. Ch 1. *(1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Miss next dc) 13 times. Draw up a loop in each of next 2 ch-1 sps. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook – sc2tog made. Ch 1. Rep from * 4 times more. Join with sl st to first sc.
6th and 7th rnds: As 2nd rnd.
8th rnd: As 4th rnd.
9th rnd: Sl st in first ch-1 sp. Ch 1. *(1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Miss next dc) 12 times. Sc2tog. Ch 1. Rep from * 4 times more. Join with sl st to first sc.
10th to 13th rnds: As 2nd rnd.

Fasten off.
Finishing:
Twisted Cord: Cut 3 strands of yarn 100" [254 cm] long.
With all strands tog, hold one end and with someone holding other end, twist strands to the right until they begin to curl. Fold the 2 ends tog and tie in a knot so they will not unravel. The strands will now twist themselves tog.
Thread cord through dc and ch-1 sps of marked rnd.
Pom-pom (make 2): Wind yarn around 4 fingers approx 80 times. Remove from fingers and tie tightly in center. Cut through each side of loops. Trim to a smooth round shape. Attach to Cord ends.

This is a super cute cowl/poncho...what about Touched by the Sun? Who doesn't want to be touched by the sun in the dead of winter (even if it HAS been a mild one this year).
