I dont like chevrons as a rule, but I really like how this one is used as a distinctive motif! You could choose any colors for the base and contrasting chevrons. Wouldnt this make a novel take on a school scarf, or use Valentine or Christmas colors. Its worked across the width using variations of the Double Crochet, so it goes fast, too! I just had to check out the matching hat at the bottom of the page.

This pattern looks quite simple to follow but it would make a huge impact on any outfit! The color combinations are endless and this looks amazing! Can't wait to make one to match my new winter coat!

I'm making this cowl and my stitches are increasing. Do I misunderstand that I should be putting two stitches in the last stitch at both the end of a row and the beginning of the next row?

I love chevrons and this cowl looks pretty awesome! I crocheted a multi-colored chevron sweater long ago but lost the pattern. It is probably a good idea to make this stylish cowl to refresh my chevron making skills. Love how the colored chevrons are just at the front. So glad I came across this pattern.

This cowl pattern is such a pretty one. They make great gifts as they can be customized to the wearer. You could add as many or as few rows of color as you'd like, and if you want a looser fit, just add a few more rows until it fits you comfortably. These cowls also are popular at craft fairs!

This has made a beautiful cowl. I love it. Use a super soft yarn so that it's not itchy.

Looking at the finished size of 13 1/2 inches, I would have to guess this fits VERY tightly over the head. Most adult hats are around 20-21 inches around. It's pretty but I would make it bigger around.
