wonder about inch to cm, since ur country use cm only?

I am loving the super chunky look of this hooded poncho! For me, the hood is for fashion purposes and not for practicality. Hoods just don't look good on my head. But they look good on my neck and back! Ha, ha. You could make this without the addition of the hood, as it is worked as a separate piece that is sewn on.

This is the most complicated pattern to follow that I've ever come across. The first row (foundation) doesn't specify at what point you're supposed to join ends to make a round, and I guess just assumes you know where to do it. Plus, the instructions for increasing/decreasing within the pattern are extremely confusing. It looks like a great pattern and I would love to make this, but it's overly complicated to read and follow, and unfortunately I won't be able to make this unless this is somehow re-written with much clearer instructions.

Under the section it talks about "American English..." look at the last sentence.

I ABSOLUTELY could not agree with you more! It has nothing to do with the American vs. English terms, either. The person who wrote this pattern obviously didn't bother to go back and read it as if she were a crocheter! I got confused in just reading through her first few instructions! I don't know why designers want to do this, but some patterns I've seen need more manoeuvres than a Normandy invasion, and it's just senseless. I LOVED this pattern and have been looking for one EXACLTY like it, too! There's just no way I could ever begin to make this. Now I'm upset about it. (

This pattern mentions at least 4 crochet hook sizes to use . Which one is it?

Hi audeo, As the pattern materials state, you need a 12 mm/US O hook - or size needed to get 6 tr = width 10 cm / 4'' (1 repetition of A.1 measures approx. 8 cm / 3 1/8'' in width, 1 repetition of A.2 measures approx. 10 cm / 4'' in width). Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

This looks like a dream to work up, and the thick yarn means it will be warm and work up quickly. Thanks for the free pattern.

Love this pattern! Nice thick yarn to work up quickly and the hood is a nice unique touch. Has anyone made this? How did it work out? Thanks!

From what I'm seeing so far from others, they're having trouble knowing how to follow this overly-complicated pattern, and therefore not too many have made it. They just had too much trouble. Why designers want to make things too hard to understand is beyond me. You'd think they'd want you to be able to understand what to do!

I've made it and wear it often in winter. Drops has so many wonderful patterns. Don't give up. Start with one of their simple patterns so you can get the hang of their pattern style. I promise... it'll be worth it. I have made so many of their patterns. They also have wonderful tutorials on their site. Check them out at garnstudio.com.

I like the color and design of this poncho. I will make this for my own use or if someone wants to order in another color or the original color it's okay. Here's the link to the pattern http//www.garnstudio.com/pattern.php?id=5777cid=17 == #patterncontent

is there an american version of this pattern ?? I'd love to try this -- but can't understand the pattern -- thanks to anyone who knows how to do this

Hi ezminis 3091304, I clicked on the link to get the pattern (that does work). For English there is a link on the left of the page that you click for changing to English. It is a great pattern. I also printed the pattern to make latter. This pattern looks so easy! Also, I am opening the pattern on a lap top, I'm not sure how it will work on a phone or smaller device. I hope this helps.

The link doesn't work. Went to the site, and it doesn't work from there, either.

Hi, the link appears to be working on our end. Please try it again and let us know if it continues to not be functional. Happy crocheting! - Editor of AllFreeCrochet

Right at the top of the page, CAFinNY "Materials DROPS POLARIS from Garnstudio Color no 04, medium gray 1000-1200-1300-1400-1500-1600 g"

I can't seem to find how much yarn I need to buy. (

I looked up their yarn it is about https//yarnsub.com/yarns/garnstudio/dropspolaris and one ball is 100 g. The other yarn is 50g a ball.
