Ever So Striped Super Easy Crochet Baby Blanket

Adorable babies just seem to inspire hand-made, personal crochet projects, and the Ever So Striped Easy Crochet Baby Blanket is the perfect pattern to get you ready to snuggle your little one. The salmon and blue tones of the stripes pop against the white, and the bumpy texture is exactly what you think of when you picture a warm blanket. The best part about this crochet pattern is that it only uses two different crochet stitches, so it is ideal for a beginner. Crochet baby blankets make great baby shower gifts, or you can work on it while your own peanut is on the way. Once you get started, it will definitely prepare you for all the many crochet accessories begging to add to your baby's cuteness.

Oh. This is also cute. I like the combination. You thought at first glance it's boring but it's actually exciting because of the unexpected color scheme used. Uniqu!

This is a really interesting color pattern for a baby blanket. Ive worked with the JoAnns Big Twist and although it tends to unravel a bit more than Red Heart, I still like it. This is a nice repetitive pattern although I would swap out a Foundation Single Crochet for the initial Chain and Row 1. It wont make any difference since the pattern calls for alternating between a patterned row and Single Crochet row.

I love the look of this Ever So Striped Super Easy Crochet Baby Blanket. The pattern is well written and easy to understand and follow. I like the easy 2 row repeat pattern to make this one. I would just crochet over the ends so I don't have to weave in the ends or have a chance of them coming apart later on. I'm looking forward to making this cute baby blanket. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet baby blanket pattern.

I am just going to HAVE to make this! It is so cute and looks easy enough to complete quite quickly. The possible colour combinations has me salivating to get started. I was thinking ecru, menthe, daffodil and periwinkle! With 26 nieces and nephews and a new god daughter, I can make scads of these.

I looked at the instructions right away and saw a #3 crochet hook which I did not recognize. Then I looked at 6 mm and saw that it was a size J. The first page states that. It is a simple pattern and should work up quickly. Baby blankets are always in demand. This should be simple. The yarn stated is important. Thank you.

Apparently I need to get myself over to JoAnn Fabrics for some of this Big Twist blanket yarn. It looks so lush. I see in the pictures that her dog seems to love this blanket! So it is suitable for your babe AND your pet! Great color choices put together in a simple stripe pattern. Rather than using a complicated stitch the interest is added by the color changing stripes.

It has been baby time in my life for the past few months with the arrival of no less than 3 very special little ones to close friends. I already have some lovely soft yarns in my yarn stash but I am still deciding whether to make it in 4 colors instead of 5. Whichever colors I choose this Ever So Striped crocheted little baby blanket is so that cute that I am wanting to start making it right away!

This is an excellent project to use up my baby crochet yarn. I have made baby blankets before and will more than likely add a border around the entire finished blanket.

The ever so striped super easy crochet baby blanket does look so super easy. Was just reading over the instructions and this looks like it would work up quickly. The color combo is lovely. I have never even heard of big twist premium yarn from Joann. How does it differ from just regular acrylic yarns?

This is very pretty and the directions seem simple enough. It would be a nice lap-ghan.

Love the pattern - it is so different - can't wait to try it. Might make it a little bigger - it is for a 4 yr. old. Many tks for sharing it Tanya. Great work! Helen
