For those of us that have active or non active military members in the home, they would appreciate having one of these. These stars and stripes cushions would look great in pairs as pictured here but a single cushion would also be nice.

This design reminds me of a project that I completed in middle school. It was not crochet but needlepoint. I made a original thirteen colony's flag and needless to say that I received an A for my project. This is a project to complete to show your American pride.

you know folks, the more our flag design is around us the more we can remember just how good our country is! in America people can burn our flags , throw them on the ground, etc. etc. we should be pleased to have designs that represent who we are and what we are proud of! making these is not disrespecting our flag, these are not real US Flags they are here to help us feel patriotic!!

Our flag should always be kept perfect, this is likely how these people think they will get by with dishonoring our flag. The last time I checked we have 50 states, not the 23 represented by the so called stars here!

if it is a Perfect representation of the flag it would be wrong. but these are decorations and not made of the flag.

I, also agree with kathome. It is horrible what people do to the flag. If anyone would read the United States Code Title 4 Chapter 1 The Flag you will know that this is unacceptable. It states, in part, "d.The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery." Also, "h.The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything." Please people, stop this disrespect NOW.

Contrary to popular belief, the U.S. Flag Code DOES permit the use of flag design in fashion etcetera, provided that such a design was not formed using the actual design of the flag. The wearing of any article of clothing representing the flag is allowed, however, the flag itself is not. So what we see here is that the flag itself should not be used that way but that the basic design can be!

Guess you get onto the Military then - seeing how we WEAR the US Flag on our uniforms. You may want to take notice this decoration isn't an offical US Flag - count the strips & count the stars - it's made this way to be a decoration. If you want to judge it then I sure hope you never wear RED, White and Blue with any type of stars - as accrding to you this would be the US Flag as well.

I am appalled and feel compelled to protest the idea of making an American flag and suggesting that someone SIT ON IT. Don't ever do that in a stadium with a soldier around. There is such a thing as flag etiquette. http://www.usflag.org/flagetiquette.html
