I made this with the acrylic and it does stretch considerable which was okay because it seemed a little small for the groceries. But otherwise it was very easy and I LOVE it. Very nice bag. I intend on making many more for grocery shopping and will probably use cotton next time to avoid so much stretching. Thank you for a great pattern!

If you use a regular worsted weight acrylic, be aware that it stretches and a heavy load of groceries will stretch it out. 100% cotton does not stretch as much.

Super nice bag! I was skeptically to try it because it's listed as intermediate (I usually stick to easy or beginner projects;). This was SO easy! I actually used 4 ww yarn and a J hook. Unfortunately, the yarn listed, I couldn't find anywhere on line. I'm sure I could find a similar blend; but I didn't want to take the time and wait! It's a very forgiving pattern...go with it and enjoy!
