Use up leftover yarn with this Crazy Ripple Blanket. Let your imagination go crazy as you complete this free crochet afghan pattern. Use light worsted weight yarn to complete this cozy blanket. The pattern is presented as patterns to create the individual sections because the design can be customized and created as you go. Construction guidelines are also included in the instructions.

This afghan looks so amazing and unique. I love a good challenge, and this pattern looks like it could be what I am looking for. I see a lot of comments that it is difficult, which makes me a little bit nervous. Maybe I will save this and attempt it when I do not have so many things to do.

I gather that the piece is comprised of a ripple strip, then another larger ripple strip. When you put the two together there will naturally be a blank space left. This is where you will be adding in the diamond accent in a contrasting color. When you brak it down like that, it isn't so difficult to understand. This will be a challenge for those who want to take it on!

I see by some of the comments that several people were confused with the directions to the crazy afghan. The designer did state right at the beginning of her description that this was a freestyle and design your own piece. She also wrote in bold letters to ATTEMPT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Love the different type of Crazy Ripple Blanket this pattern makes. The added diamond design adds a interesting touch to the ripples. I would like to make this one and after reading all the comments below and on the pattern page it looks like the pattern was a crochet a long and I'm hoping the bugs have been worked out. I'll have to print this one so I can see the steps on one page and not have to keep scrolling up and down for the steps. Has anyone here made this? How did it work? I'm trying to think of what yarn colors to use, thinking of black and white with gray. ?? Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

What an interesting and fun variation of a ripple afghan! I will have to try this pattern soon. I noticed some people have had trouble with it. I will be sure to post my results as well once I have had the time to make it. Thanks for sharing it!

I tried making this afghan for my nephew who has been diagnosed with leukemia. I did the first row and then the second row made no sense. The stitches don't line up. Guess I will have to try another afghan.

This pattern is too confusing. It does not tell you how many rows to complete in each section and nothing about changing colors. I am very disappointed in this. I have tried for hours to figure it out and just gave up. I crochet for charity and thought this would be a colorful one to brighten someone up. This should not be on this site.

She gave the basic patterns of the sections to help you build your own afghan. It's meant to be personalized with your own color changes, where and how you place the diamonds, etc etc.
