I agree. I was going to make it, but the directions aren't clear enough for me. I hope someone will rewrite them and actually explain each row. Many beginners don't have enough knowledge to figure it out on their own. Also the picture cannot be enlarged so you can't see the details in the hat. Thanks.

I'm having a difficult time following your pattern. The way I'm reading it, I crochet either 1 popcorn or 2 popcorn patterns per line. You don't give enough information as to how all the lines should be. I finally did figure it out, but it drove me a little crazy for awhile. Also, the picture shows a band or rim that looks like it's folded up, similar to a regular tobogan. Your instructions do not include or explain this. Perhaps I've just missed something here. AND, I'm using the suggested "J" hook and crochet rather loosely. The hat seems to be a bit too small for my 2-year old granddaughter. I guess I'm just really frustrated with the way this project is turning out. Thank you for listening.
