Another great granny square project! What a way to show love of these great United States of American than to carry this beautiful red, white and blue bag? Friends and family will be surprised to see this and expect to see it next year and will probably ask for one to have themselves.

I am proud to be an American and I show country spirit by raising the flag at our house during the 4th of July. We have a family barbecue at someones home and we all pitch in and decorate with the beautiful colors of red, white and blue. As a gift to the host this year, my sister will be getting this from me.

Can't download pattern???????

Hi Ande, To access this pattern, click the link above that says "Click here for crochet pattern" to be taken to the designer's site. The blogger released this pattern in four parts, so if you scroll down a bit once her site opens you'll see four links that say "Step 1", "Step 2", "Step 3" and "Step 4" - click through each of those posts for each step of this bag. Hope that helps! :) Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

Every year, our town hosts a huge Independence Day celebration at the big park down by the river. The bulk of the festivities is quite a hike from the parking areas, so you need something to carry necessities like bug spray, sunscreen and bottled water. This bag will be perfect! Made from easy to work granny squares, the hardest part of this whole project is chasing down the actual pattern.
